Solre-le-Château, a typical village in the Avesnois region, charms visitors with its heritage and peaceful setting. Its 16th-century fortified church, with its impressive twisted bell tower, is an architectural gem.

A regional nature park, the Avesnois is an ideal destination for hiking through landscapes of hedgerows and forests (Mormal Forest). The network of cycling nodes and greenways allows you to explore the region by bike at your own pace. The Val Joly resort, just a few kilometers away, offers water and outdoor activities (Piscine, sailing, pedal boats, horseback riding, and bike rentals...).

Stroll through the neighboring villages to explore mills (Maroilles, Taisnières en Thiérache, etc.), chapels, and local traditions. Food lovers will enjoy Maroilles cheese and local specialties. An ideal destination for nature and heritage.
