Welcome to the Gîtes du Grand Marais in the heart of the Scarpe-Escaut Regional Nature Park and the Val de Vergne marshlands.
You'll discover an exceptional natural site reminiscent of the film "Les enfants du marais", on the edge of a nature reserve. You'll have access to the "Entre terres et eaux" hiking trail and the Wieries fishing ponds just 50m away.
This old farmhouse dating from 1789 has been renovated to the highest sustainable standards. You'll participate in sustainable development by producing electricity with photovoltaic panels, recovering water from the well for washing and using the wood-burning stove!
The gîtes are just a stone's throw from the Belgian border, with Tournai 30 min away. Valencienne 32 min. away. The thermal baths of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux 20 min away. Lille 50 min. Lille-Lesquin airport 45 min away and Charleroi airport 1 hour.
The village center is 2km away.

First floor: living room with wood-burning stove, 82cm TV and WIFI.
Open kitchen equipped with fridge-freezer, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher...
Shower room with Italian shower and washing machine.
Separate WC.
Upstairs: two bedrooms, each with two single beds 90x200cm (convertible into a double bed 180x200cm).
Private enclosed garden with wooden terrace, garden furniture and charcoal barbecue.
Ping-pong table and petanque court on site.
Horses, bikes and motorcycles can be accommodated.
Energy costs and bed linen are included in the price.
End-of-stay cleaning, pet supplement and bathroom linen are optional.

Un séjour agréable pour TOUS, sans exception ! Découvrez un site exceptionnel en plein coeur de nature à 2 pas de St Amand les Eaux, Valenciennes, Tournai.
Découvrez les produits de la ferme voisine, observez, écoutez oies, hérissons, hérons, chouettes, chauve souris... prenez le sentier de randonnée "Entre terres et eaux" au pied des gîtes, découvrez les plaisirs de la pêche.
Vous participerez au développement durable, en produisant l'électricité avec les panneaux photovoltaïques, récupérant les eaux du puits pour les toilettes, en utilisant le poêle à bois !

Désespéré Chez les chtis
Accueil réussi, bien renseigné par les propriétaires. Avons passé un agréable séjour sous le soleil mais avec des températures fraîches. Logement agréable, propre, calme, très agréable.

Super séjour dans ce gîte au calme, parfait pour se ressourcer, mais avec tout le confort nécessaire, et surtout, des propriétaires très gentils et prévenants ! Cadre enchanteur, une parenthèse hors du temps.. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour, tout comme nos chats ! Merci !

+ direct gelegen aan vijvers / wandelgebied
+ verwarming in huisje werkt goed
+ rust / stilte, ook qua vuurwerk
+ sfeervolle courtyard
+ verhuurder is behulpzaam
+ kleine maar praktische keuken
- keuken en badkamer waren niet erg schoon
- regendouche werkt niet en handdouche is karigWij hebben kerst en oudjaar hier rustig en huiselijk doorgebracht, speciaal om vuurwerkgeweld in Nederland te ontvluchten. Het was heerlijk om te douwtrappen langs de vijvers. Houd wel rekening met jagers en schoten, dat gaf onrust.
