Just a stone's throw from Belgium, Gussignies is a small village of 340 inhabitants in the Pays de Mormal,
Nestling on the slopes of the Vallée de l'Hogneau, in the heart of the bocage of the Parc Naturel Régional de l'Avesnois, Gussignies is one of the jewels of the Nord Pas-de-Calais region.
Nature lovers will be delighted by the many hiking and horse-riding trails in the village. You can also sample the beers brewed on site by the Au Baron brewery.
Estaminet, Hiking trails, Forest de Mormal, the river, the marble museum and the Gallo-Roman site of Bavay nearby.
Blue stone and marble, as in neighboring Bellignies (Marble Museum), have branded the history of Gussignies.
