The Avesnois is renowned for its lush green meadows, bocages and rolling hills in the south-eastern part, commonly referred to as the "Little Switzerland of the North", which brands the foothills of the Ardennes, offering a picturesque landscape.

The Val Joly tourist resort is a 30-minute drive away, with its 180-hectare Lake, the largest body of water north of Paris, offering a multitude of water sports and leisure activities.
