The village of Oisy is a charming spot in the heart of the Scarpe-Escaut Regional Nature Park, offering a convenient location less than 15 minutes by car from Valenciennes. It lies in the triangle formed by Valenciennes at 7km, Saint-Amand-les-Eaux known for its thermal springs and Casino at 13km, and Denain at 5km. Oisy is about 3.8km from the famous Tranchée d'Arenberg (Drève des Boules), a must-see for fans of the Paris-Roubaix cycling race. The Wallers-Arenberg pit, protected as a historic monument since 1992, is unique with its three headframes and is one of the major sites in the Mining Basin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hiking in the Raismes-Saint-Amand-Wallers Forest 5km away. Cambrai 28km, Douai 35km and Lille 49km away.
