Gîte in a former 19th-century sawmill in the Plaine valley, 5 km from the Donon pass and Alsace. You're in the Vosges mountains, with many trails marked by the Club Vosgien (IGN maps supplied) suitable for hiking and family walks in forests open to the public or on cycle paths. Lac de la Plaine at Celles sur Plaine and Lac de la Maix 10 minutes away, Lac de Pierre Percée 20 minutes away. Remarkable sites (Donon, tête du Coquin and others.) Center Parcs Domaine des 3 Forêts 45 minutes away. On the Alsace side, Schirmeck and the Alsace Moselle memorial are 15 minutes away, and Strasbourg is less than an hour's drive. For cyclists and rollerbladers, the Véloroute-Voie Verte de la Plaine offers a 17 km itinerary between Raon l'étape and Raon sur Plaine.
