Domaine de Cul de Sac. La maison de hobbit

Immerse yourself in nature and the unusual, push open the most famous round door in literature and experience the world of the Lord of the Rings for a night, a weekend or longer in the house of the hobbit Bilbo Sacquet. An exceptional, unusual accommodation in the heart of the Hautes-Vosges mountains, at an altitude of 750 m, the hobbit's house boasts a breathtaking view of the forest and surrounding mountains. The Domaine de Cul de Sac is an extraordinary and rejuvenating place. It's the starting point for hiking trails that will take you through fantastic landscapes in every season. In winter, depending on snow conditions, you can enjoy snowshoeing (free of charge). A bird and wildlife observatory Farm animals will also be among the attractions of your stay: Nina the mischievous parrot, ISisko and Alba You'll also meet Lilou, Lila and Sophie's goats. Geese, ducks and chickens live in harmony with the rest of the flock.

Imagined from scratch by Vincent, the hobbit's house, a comfortable pied-à-terre, comprises a living room with fully-equipped kitchenette and a relaxation area with sofa. It includes a double bedroom (bed 160/200), an extra bed in the living room (Vosges corner bed 80/180), a bathroom and separate toilet. Beds are made up on arrival and towels provided. In winter, you'll appreciate the warmth of the wood-burning stove. Many books and games are available.
Electric heating
The house overlooks a small lake, where you can watch deer and roe deer come to drink.
Access is via a footpath from the farm parking lot (150 m). Your luggage will be deposited on site.
Hobbit breakfasts are delivered to the burrow, and Vincent and Sophie also offer the "Middle-earth Meal" evening meal delivered to the burrow (excluding drinks, by reservation €29 per person).

La maison du hobbit is located 3 km from the village center. Saint-Dié 15 km (SNCF train station). Gérardmer 30 km. Colmar 50 km. Nancy and Strasbourg 90 km. Lac Blanc 25 km away.
On reservation, you can take part in a visit to a silver mine in the village.
Price per night includes evening meal and breakfast. For two nights, only breakfast is included, and the evening meal is available at a cost of €35/person, with 24-hour advance booking. For three nights or more, breakfast and evening meal are available at €12/person, 24 hours in advance.
