Une étape à la Mine -

A former coal-mining site established in 1862, the Wendel Colliery in Petite-Rosselle, now known as "Parc Explor Wendel", has become a place of leisure and culture for the whole family. It features the Museums Les Mineurs Wendel and la Mine Wendel, cycle paths and footpaths, as well as numerous activities to discover all year round (cultural events, Unusual tours, etc.). The only museum in France to offer 210m² of accommodation at its heart, our Holiday cottage "Une étape à la Mine", which can also be rented by the room or in a 13-person version, is located close to major roads and the German border. The World Cultural Heritage site of the Völklinger Hütte is just 10 minutes away, as is Forbach and its medieval Schlossberg castle. Sarreguemines, the city of earthenware par excellence, is only 30 minutes away, and Metz and its tourist attractions 50 minutes. In winter, it's the perfect place to explore and discover the most beautiful Christmas Markets in Moselle.

Our fully air-conditioned holiday cottage features 3 bedrooms that offer a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy a stay with complete independence. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, a separate toilet, a coffee station, a refrigerator, and a safe.
Our living area is designed for enjoying quality time together: a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, pool table, and library.
A relaxation area equipped with a hydro-massage table is at your disposal. A baby bed is available free of charge in Room 014. An extra bed is available in Room 014 for €25 per night.
An outdoor wellbeing area with garden furniture, a pool, and a Spa is available from June 1 through September 30, weather permitting.
There is direct access to the Wendel Miners’ Museums and the Wendel Mine.
We offer on-site dining options at the Mine904 restaurant and the Kaffeeklatsch tea room.
For your comfort, the beds are made on arrival, and bathroom linen is provided (except for pool towels).
The price is all-inclusive and covers access to the relaxation areas, heating (provided consumption is reasonable and moderate), electricity, and end-of-stay cleaning. Special museum rate: 50% off the standard rate.
Breakfast is available for €8.50 per person.
The tourist tax is charged as an additional fee.
Check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
Check-in is after 4:00 p.m.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Our holiday cottage is smoke-free.
The “Une Étape à la Mine” holiday cottage is a place for culture, vacation, and relaxation; it is not intended to be used as a party venue. As such, organizing or holding festive or noisy events is prohibited.

The price includes: bed linens, bath towels, household linens, housekeeping, electricity, and heating. The price does not include: the rate is all-inclusive. An electric car charging station is available in the museum parking lot. The outdoor wellbeing area is open annually from June 1 through September 30, weather permitting.
