Le Gîte des Salines (formule séjour 18 personnes)

In a green and relaxing setting on the edge of the forest, between ponds and meadows, this communal gîte is located on the site of the Anciennes Salines and overlooks the Seille valley. Close to local shops and services, the gîte is open all year round, and welcomes you for family events, seminars or as a stopover on your hiking tour. The former Château-Salins saltworks were classified as a Sensitive Natural Area in 1995. Owned by the commune of Château-Salins, they include a leisure area (gymnasium, sports ground, campsite), a fishing pond and spawning ground, forest ponds, around 15 ha of forest and agricultural areas on the outskirts. The heart of the site is made up of former settling basins, either reforested or still in use. Château-Salins, the center of the Saulnois region, is ideally situated on the Metz-Strasbourg and Nancy-Sarreguemines roads. Visit the church of St. Jean-Baptiste and its famous organs, take a stroll along the banks of the Seille River or climb to the top of the village. Various Moselle Passion sites to discover in the surrounding area, including the Musée Départemental du Sel in Marsal, the Musée Georges-de-La-Tour in Vic-sur-Seille, and the outdoor spaces of the Domaine de Lindre in Lindre-Basse.

First floor: large common room with WIFI and screen/video projector for 60 people, professional kitchen, sanitary facilities. Upstairs: 8 private rooms with dedicated sanitary facilities (WC and washbasin/mirror) for a total of 18 travelers and 3 separate individual showers. 2nd fully-equipped kitchen (non-professional) with relaxation area (sofa, TV, coffee table). Holiday cottage with "Fishing Accommodation" label located near one or more fishing spots, with a specific secure room for storing and drying fishing tackle, and a device for storing live bait.
