Nestled at an altitude of almost 300 meters in Soucht, the cradle of glassmaking and clog-making, Marie-Josée and Bernard's gîte welcomes you for a stay in the heart of the Northern Vosges. In this charming, comfortable accommodation, you can relax after a day of discovery, in a wellness area with Spa and shower at your disposal. The location is ideal, with the Musée du Sabot and the Meisenthal glassworks within walking distance, as well as numerous hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. The Altschlossfelsen rock, about 1.5km long and averaging between 15 and 20 metres in height, is a must-see and is nicknamed the "Colorado Rock". It's the American West of Moselle. Soucht also borders Alsace and is 30 minutes from Germany. Places to visit during your stay The world-renowned Musée du Cristal Saint Louis, the Citadelle de Bitche, a Vauban fortification and its peace garden, the Simserhof and Fort Casso, important works of the Maginot Line, the Musée Lalique (Alsace) dedicated to master glassmaker and jeweler René Lalique.

On the first floor, accessible via a staircase, you'll find: a large, fully-equipped kitchen with table and 8 chairs, opening onto a living room with corner sofa and large flat-screen TV. For a warm, zen-like ambience on winter evenings, a wood-burning stove is available (wood supplied). For hot summer days, the living room is equipped with reversible air conditioning.
Laundry room with washing machine, dryer and cleaning equipment Bathroom with bath and shower; 1 separate WC; bedroom with 160cm bed and work area Upstairs: 3 bedrooms (2 140cm beds and 1 160cm bed); shower room with WC, 1 dressing room / gaming room.
Each bedroom is equipped with a free-standing fan for summer comfort, and a raclette grill for winter evenings. Garden level: 1 private Spa and shower in a 17m² room. Bathrobes are available from October/November to March/April (weather permitting). A garage is available for bicycles (not cars). Private parking for up to 6 cars. Outside: a pergola, garden furniture, a quality barbecue, 8 deckchairs and a small play area for Kids. Families welcome: 8 adults and 4 Kids can be accommodated - 4 cots and 4 highchairs available. Housekeeping every 15 days with change of sheets (included in the price). The Holiday cottage has central heating **On reservation and at an additional cost, Jennifer from "Natur o pays du verre", a graduate in Californian massage from the Essenciel O Naturel School and a naturopath from the Plantasanté School in Obernai, can bring you a moment of relaxation with a unique massage directly at the Holiday cottage.
Non-smoking Holiday cottage. The all-inclusive price includes: bed linen and towels for the duration of the stay, end-of-stay cleaning (excluding crockery and rubbish) and interim cleaning every 15 days with a change of sheets, heating and electricity at reasonable rates, use of the Spa.
Baby equipment available: two baby beds + two high chairs.

VALERIE Séjour cocooning
Nous avons passé un superbe week-end entre amis. Le Gite de Bernard, une maison familiale entièrement rénovée, dispose de tout le confort nécessaire pour rendre le séjour agréable. L'ambiance y est très chaleureuse, confortable et imprégnée de l'histoire passée du village. Bernard nous a accueilli avec sympathie et beaucoup de générosité. Un grand Merci à lui et son épouse.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bernard’s charming gîte! From the moment we arrived, Bernard’s warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond, frequently checking in to ensure we had everything we needed, which made our experience truly exceptional.
The house itself is fantastic—spacious, spotless, and equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the design and setup of the gîte was evident, making it a perfect blend of comfort and style. Whether it was the stocked kitchen with all necessary basics , cozy living spaces, or the serene surroundings, everything exceeded our expectations.
