The Route des Vins de Moselle, in its Lorraine section, is a lesser-known wine route than Alsace or Burgundy, but just as charming. It winds from Metz to Thionville and on to Luxembourg, through historic vineyards, typical villages and rolling countryside along the Moselle. Pont-à-Mousson (20 min): The historic center with its cobbled streets and old houses. The Prémontrés abbey, a landmark of the City. Cafés and terraces along the Moselle for a gourmet break. Nancy (45 min): The splendid Place Stanislas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The City and Place de la Carrière, where you can stroll through the charming narrow streets.
