The Holiday cottage "Le Clos du Val d'Or" is located in the village of Avenay Val D'or, 10km from Épernay and its famous Champagne avenue, 30km from Reims and Chalons en Champagne.
It lies in a green setting on the heights of the village, walled in (a wall surrounds the entire park), the garden (50 ares) is crossed by a small stream and also has a Forest (approx. 1.5hectares).
You'll be the only guests on the estate.
It will be the ideal place to stay with your family or friends, with total peace and quiet, but with quick access to the riches of our department (walks in the vineyards, Museums, shops etc....).
Marc, the owner, is a winegrower and can offer you an explanation of champagne, a tour and even a tasting session if you wish.
The Holiday cottage has a large living room with dining/living area and kitchen leading onto the terrace (with views over the river and Forest). From the living room you'll also have access to two bedrooms (one with a 160cm double bed, the other with two single beds) and a shower room.
A laundry room with washing machine and dryer is located in the basement.
New for 2026: The Holiday cottage will be equipped with a Nordic bath from April 15, 2026, and 2 electric bicycles.
Rates include bed linen (beds made on arrival), end-of-stay cleaning and utilities, Nordic bath and electric bikes.
Bathroom linen is not provided and is not optional.
Electric recharging point at the station in the village.

Accueil propriétaire au top. Mais maison non entretenue. Non propre : signalé au propriétaire qui ne prend pas ses responsabilités et renvoie directement au Gîte de France Marne.

Felu 3 jours en Champagne
Très beau gîte au calme.
Vous n’entendrez que le chant des oiseaux et la rivière. Très ressourçant.
Décoré et aménagé avec goût.
Le gîte est très bien situé pour visiter les caves de la région.
Merci à Marc pour son accueil et pour ses explications sur l’élaboration de champagne.

Mark & Sue Wonderful week in Avenay Val D'Or
We had a great week in Clos Val D'Or, starting with an warm welcome from M. Billiard who was able to show us everything we needed to know. The property is in a beautiful enclosed large garden providing privacy and a mixture of sunshine and shade - great for barbecuing or enjoying the sunshine. The property had everything we needed and it is situated in a beautiful valley right in the heart of the vineyards. There are numerous local opportunities to sample the champagne and its worthwhile tasting at some of the famous named houses but also the smaller family- run wineries too. All major attractions of the area are in easy reach and, if no car is available, the village has a railway station. Overall, we had a superb week. Highly recommended.
