The Holiday cottage "Le Clos du Val d'Or" is located in the village of Avenay Val D'or, 10km from Épernay and its famous Champagne avenue, 30km from Reims and Chalons en Champagne.
It lies in a green setting on the heights of the village, walled in (a wall surrounds the entire park), the garden (50 ares) is crossed by a small stream and also has a Forest (approx. 1.5hectares).
You'll be the only guests on the estate.
It will be the ideal place to stay with your family or friends, with total peace and quiet, but with quick access to the riches of our department (walks in the vineyards, Museums, shops etc....).
Marc, the owner, is a winegrower and can offer you an explanation of champagne, a tour and even a tasting session if you wish.
The Holiday cottage has a large living room with dining/living area and kitchen leading onto the terrace (with views over the river and Forest). From the living room you'll also have access to two bedrooms (one with a 160cm double bed, the other with two single beds) and a shower room.
A laundry room with washing machine and dryer is located in the basement.
New for 2026: The Holiday cottage will be equipped with a Nordic bath from April 15, 2026, and 2 electric bicycles.
Rates include bed linen (beds made on arrival), end-of-stay cleaning and utilities, Nordic bath and electric bikes.
Bathroom linen is not provided and is not optional.

Traumhaft Unser Urlaub in der Champagne
Im Mai 2026 haben wir 2 Wochen in dem Quartier verbracht. Der Kontakt mit Herrn Billiard jun. war völlig unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Das Haus liegt auf einem sehr großen, von 3 Seiten mit einer hohen Mauer umgebenen Grundstück. Der große Garten ist herrlich, mit jungen und altem Baumbestand, einem Kräutergarten, Grillplatz, Fahrradunterstand und natürlich dem kleinen Bach, der am Grundstück vorbei fließt; dahinter Wald. Somit absolute Ruhe in herrlicher Natur - ein Traum !!! Das Haus hat 2 Schlafzimmer, ein WC, kleines Bad mit Dusche und den Wohn- und Küchenbereich mit Geschirrspülmaschine sowie eine große Terrasse am Bach. In einem separaten Raum befindet sich eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner. Mann sollte unbedingt einen Termin mit Herrn Billiard jun. ausmachen und den hauseigenen Champagner probieren. Im Ort selber ist die Charcuterie sehr zu empfehlen. Unsere bevorzugte Boulangerie ist in Mareuil-sur-Ay an der Kirche. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und können das Quartier uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Merci Jonathan !!!

Ernst Un petit coin du paradis et de tranquilité
Une fois le portail franchi, vous êtes immédiatement plongé au cœur de la nature et dans la tranquillité. Une charmante maison, confortable et lumineuse, se dresse sur un terrain de deux hectares arboré et traversé par un ruisseau. Les propriétaires la transforment en un petit coin de paradis en y plantant de jeunes arbres fruitiers. L'accueil fut chaleureux, en français comme en anglais. Jonathan nous a expliqué le processus d'élaboration du champagne, et il en produit un délicieux, parfait à rapporter chez soi. Il faisait un peu frais durant notre séjour, mais le poêle à bois réchauffe rapidement la maison.
