La Porterie Hêtre

Holiday cottage de la Porterie "Hêtre" is located on the second floor of the owners' 17th-century house. It's a lovely vacation spot on the outskirts of the village of Murbach, facing the abbey, a jewel of Romanesque art. Situated at the foot of the Grand Ballon, the highest peak in the Vosges (1424m), in a calm, green setting, this is an ideal location for Hiking and cycling.

The holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms have 140x200cm beds, and the third bedroom has a 90x200cm bed. In the living area, you’ll find a fully equipped open-concept kitchen, a dining area, and a living room with a smart TV and a view of the abbey. There is a shared covered patio accessible from the entrance of the cottage under the porch. Private parking on the property is available for several cars. You also have access to a private, locked storage room for bikes, hiking gear, or other items. This room has an electrical outlet for charging the batteries of your electric bikes, for example.

The shared garden, just 100 meters away, is a great place to relax on a lounge chair under a tree or enjoy the ping-pong table provided. This space is shared with the “Chêne” holiday cottage.
Please note: The holiday cottage is located in a “white zone” with no cell service, but free Wi-Fi is available inside the cottage, and the owners are on-site with a landline.

This holiday cottage is located in the same building as the “Chêne” Porterie; both accommodations can be rented together.
