La Porterie Chêne

La Porterie "Chêne" is located on the second floor of the owner's 17th-century house. A beautiful resort on the outskirts of the village of Murbach, facing the abbey, a jewel of Romanesque art... Situated at the foot of the Grand Ballon, the highest peak in the Vosges (1424m), in a calm, green setting, this is an ideal location for Hiking and cycling.

The holiday cottage has two bedrooms: one bedroom has a bunk bed (two 80 mattresses) and a baby bed, and the second bedroom has a 140x200 double bed. In the living area, you’ll find a dining area combined with the living space and a TV; a fully equipped kitchen is located in a separate room across the hall. A shared covered patio is accessible from the entrance of the cottage under the porch. Private parking on the property is available for several cars.
You also have access to a private, locked storage room for bikes, hiking gear, or other items. This room has an electrical outlet for charging the batteries of your electric bikes, for example.

The shared garden, just 100 meters away, is the perfect place to relax on a lounge chair under a tree or enjoy the ping-pong table provided. This space is shared with the “Hêtre” holiday cottage.
Please note that the holiday cottage is located in a “white zone” with no cell service, but free Wi-Fi is available inside the cottage, and the owners are on-site with a landline.

This holiday cottage is located in the same building as the “Hêtre” Porterie; both accommodations can be rented together.
