Illhaeusern, a former fishing village, is located 15 kilometers from Colmar, 13 kilometers from Riquewihr, 60 kilometers from Strasbourg and 19 kilometers from Germany. It's a pleasant, easy-to-reach location, ideal for a wide range of excursions.
From the village, you can cross the Ried and the Illwald forest (nature reserve) in a Canadian canoe or kayak, or hike around the village.
Véronique and Gérard's gîte, which opened in 2020, is fully equipped and can accommodate 5 people. It also features enhanced accessibility with a ramp to the outside, large open rooms and a bathroom with walk-in shower. The entrance hall leads to the bright, spacious living room, featuring a sitting area and open-plan kitchen. This is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, freezer, coffee machine, utensils etc... For the sleeping area, 3 separate bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms with large closets and twin 100*200cm beds. The third bedroom is single, with a 100*200cm bed and a desk. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower, washing machine and separate WC. Access to the terrace is via a French window from the living room, and a shaded relaxation area has been laid out in the private courtyard. There's also a carport for your vehicles.
