The little house you'll be staying in was once part of the outbuildings of Thurnburg Castle (now the town hall), built around 1597, and served as a guardhouse. Spread over 4 floors, it has an atypical charm with its steep staircases - ideal for lovers of authentic places! Just be careful on the stairs, especially with Kids, and watch out for high ceilings if you're taller. Ideally located between City and Countryside, on the wine route and Vosges mountain passes.

This typical Alsatian house, completely renovated, can accommodate up to 4 people and has direct access to the ground floor via 3 steps. Entrance is from the open-plan, fully-equipped kitchen: dishwasher, oven, microwave, filter and SENSEO coffee machine, raclette machine, and all you need to prepare meals. Going down to the basement, you'll find the laundry room with everything you need for cleaning and ironing, as well as a washer-dryer.
The large shower room with window features a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin. Baby equipment available: cot and high chair On the 1st floor, you'll find a second toilet, the living room with connected TV and the bedroom with a 160x200cm bed.
On the 2nd floor, under the attic, you can access a SECOND BEDROOM with 2 SINGLE BEDS (90x190cm) via a miller's ladder, secured by a handrail and a low ceiling door (maximum ceiling height approx. 1m90).

As the house is located in the historic city center, it has no private parking space, but opens directly onto a free public parking lot with blue disc = 3 h free parking. The cemetery parking lot, 100 m away, is also nearby and free of charge. Its central location means it's within easy walking distance of many amenities, such as bakeries, grocery stores, restaurants, markets, pharmacies, etc. Situated 6 km from Colmar, line B of the Trace network will take you directly there. The bus stop is on Place de la République, 40 m from the house, at the Wintzenheim Mairie stop. A newly-developed cycle path will also take you to Colmar. Numerous cycling routes criss-cross the region. Hiking trails can be accessed from the house, and ski resorts are less than 30 minutes' drive away.
