The village of Kuttolsheim, just 20 minutes from Strasbourg, is the gateway to the famous Route des Vins, which runs southwards through the vineyards and pretty villages of Alsace, against the backdrop of the Vosges mountains. It's ideally situated for walking and cycling, as well as for visiting the multifaceted metropolis of Strasbourg, and other tourist attractions such as the pretty City of Saverne with its nearby Lalique Museum during the day, and returning to the peace and quiet of the Countryside in the evening, where a choice of good-quality restaurants awaits you. Located 18 km from Strasbourg, our character guesthouse La Vallée is a harmoniously renovated former winegrower's farmhouse at the end of the peaceful Alsatian village of Kuttolsheim, on the edge of the Forest and a small stream. This charming half-timbered property, repainted in shades of white and light gray, is set around a pretty flower-filled paved courtyard that the owners lovingly decorate. Opposite the main building, where the owners live, are three charming independent maisonnettes "Lune" (ideal for 1-2 people), "Étoile" (for 3-4 people) and "Soleil" (also ideal for a family of 4), which double up as Bed and Breakfasts. Each has its own private outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the fine weather. Breakfast is served in our beautiful separate breakfast room.

On a passé 5 agréables jours dans la maison soleil. Un lieu où rien ne manque avec des hôtes très chaleureux. Les petit déjeuners était trop bon, il manquait rien. Les confitures faites maison, la salade de fruits, le birchermuesli, la crème d avocat, le pain frais, les œufs etc tout est fait avec beaucoup d amour, on s est régalés ! Et le kugelhopf…mmmh. En plus, on a eu de super recommandations et conseils pour passer nos jours, balades, musées, restaurants, vignerons, sorties en bateau, magasins…merci beaucoup pour un magnifique séjour en Alsace.

Raf This place is simply a little piece of heaven on earth !
Caroline and Patrick have created a true atmosphere of hospitality. From the moment we arrived to the very last minute of our stay we felt their genuine care to ensure guest have a relaxed and perfect time in Elzas. Their warm welcome, attention for detail , tips for daytrips, events, hiking opportunities and restaurants are simply extraordinary. The breakfast was next level with anything you could dream of for a perfect start of the day. Imagine waking up with fresh coffee and breakfast being served on your little patio in the French morning sun. The accommodation (we (couple) stayed in Le Soleil) has great beds in a spacious bedroom and is well equipped with small fridge, watercooker, dolce gusto coffeemaker, cutlery, plates and cups. With coffee, tea and chocolate supplies. The bathroom has everything you need with fresh towels, soap and shampoo. The decoration of Le soleil is simply lovely with a well balanced mix of English-French atmosphere and lots of nice small surprising elements. The place is also home to Lilly who is a very friendly quiet labrador.

Michel Excellent séjour, à recommander.
Séjour de 2 nuits au top dans une "petite maisonnette" très cosy. Accueil très chaleureux, nous avons bénéficé de très bons conseils pour les visites et les restaurants aux alentours ainsi que de bons plans de stationnement (visite de Strasbourg). Petite attention très appréciée : notre hôte nous avait réservé une table pour le soir de notre arrivée dans un restaurant très fréquenté (nous avions évidemment la possibilité d'annuler cette réservation, ce que nous n'avons pas fait).

Julie Excellent accomodation
We had a lovely one week stay at La Vallée. Rooms are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, breakfast is very good and the hosts are amazing and have an excellent repertory of recommendations of activities, restaurants, hikes and sites to visit. We really enjoyed the calm surroundings and the proximity to nature and walks/hikes.

Après de longues recherches, nous avons enfin trouvé dans la région une maison d’hôtes acceptant notre gros chien sans aucune réticence !
Nous avons découvert en arrivant, une magnifique propriété fleurie comportant trois ravissantes maisonnettes, toutes différentes et aménagées avec goût. Nous avons logé dans chacune d’entre elles et revenons toujours avec plaisir.
Le jardin, bien pensé, avec ses zones ombragées ou ensoleillées permet de se détendre. La propriété offre également des possibilités de balades dans les sous-bois, les champs ou les vignes à quelques minutes à peine de la maison.
L’accueil des propriétaires est très chaleureux. Caroline est aux petits soins avec ses hôtes, toujours disponible et prête à rendre service, et elle parle plusieurs langues ! Elle sait donner des idées de visites, concevoir le programme de toute une journée en s’adaptant aux envies des hôtes, sans s’imposer !
Les petits-déjeuners sont délicieux et copieux, composés de confitures maison, de pain toujours frais et croustillant, de viennoiseries, achetés par Patrick tous les matins. Il y a, bien sûr, une salade de fruits frais, du fromage, de la charcuterie, des yaourts, des œufs, des céréales .. de quoi bien démarrer une longue journée touristique !
Les maisonnettes sont très bien équipées (TV, WIFI, petit réfrigérateur, bouilloire, machine à café, thé, petits gâteaux, chocolats, sèche-cheveux, gel douche, mouchoirs …) et la literie est vraiment confortable. L’ensemble est très propre.
Nous recommandons cette maison d’hôtes sans hésitations et reviendrons y séjourner dès que nous en aurons l’occasion.
