The owner keeps chickens and canaries.

Anne Loes Amazing region, cute house, lovely owner
This region of France, bordering Germany, was so beautiful! Things we did in the region with our 2 kids (boys ages 6 & 9): Chemin des Cimes, Fort Schoenenbourg, Nautiland swimming pool, drive through Black Forest, waterfall Cascade du Nideck and Wasserpfall Allerheiligen, Europapark and Rulantica. Tip is to also visit Cave Cleebourg (winery) and Museum of Pretsels (for bretzel tasting and freebies). The house was so cute, we received a warm welcome from the owner. She is simply lovely! The gîte is very well equipped. We bought our breakfast, croissants and pain au chocolat at the boulangerie in Hunspach, 7 minutes drive. Would definitely recommend this gîte and this region!!
