In a calm, relaxing setting in the heart of the countryside, enjoy the house adjoining the farmhouse, with its terrace and ornamental garden. Here you can discover life on the farm and its animals: the mischievous dwarf goats, Nougat the fascinating Alpaca, Chewbacca the hairy Scottish Highland, as well as chickens, geese, ducks, chicks (depending on the season) and cats. If you wish, you can feed the animals, ride in the tractor, discover "Le Jardin d'Auré" and taste their locally grown, untreated fruit and vegetables. The gite is located between SAVERNE, a historic tourist town (Château du Haut Barr, Château des Rohans, 2nd oldest rose garden in France) and STRASBOURG, a city of great renown. Just 7 km to the south, the gateway to the Alsace Wine Route will lead you to the vineyards, and less than an hour away, to the tourist sites of southern Alsace (Mont sainte Odile, Obernai, Château du Haut Koenigsbourg, Montagne des Singes, Volerie des Aigles, etc.). At the foot of the Petite Suisse d'Alsace, you can also enjoy mid-mountain forests ideal for hiking at altitudes of between 150 and 900m (Wangenbourg, Schneeberg, Nideck waterfall and much more).
