Want to wake up surrounded by trees, enjoy breakfast on a terrace lulled by birdsong, and rediscover the joy of tranquility? Chalet Mélèze invites you to enjoy an experience where nature is your closest neighbor.
Nestled on the lush grounds of L’Etapeboisée in Fumay, this chalet on stilts blends seamlessly into its surroundings and offers a true sense of escape. Here, there are no intrusive views of neighboring properties or hustle and bustle—just trees, nature, and an atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
Designed to accommodate up to 4 people, the Chalet emphasizes open spaces and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The mezzanine features a 160 x 200 cm double bed and two 90 x 200cm beds, creating a cozy sleeping area beneath the roof beams. The living room has a sofa bed that provides two additional sleeping spots. The living area combines a dining space, a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, oven, microwave), and a relaxation corner with a television.
Outside, the terrace quickly becomes the heart of your stay. Whether you’re sharing a meal around the barbecue or the plancha, reading comfortably on a lounge chair, or simply admiring the surrounding nature, everything invites you to fully enjoy the great outdoors.
Pets are welcome so that everyone can share in this getaway in the countryside.
Chalet Mélèze is also an excellent starting point for exploring the Ardennes. Just a few minutes away, TerrAltitude Park will delight thrill-seekers with its Fantasticable, tree-top adventure courses, via ferrata, and numerous outdoor activities. Just 200 meters from the Chalet, the Trans-Ardennes Greenway runs along the Meuse River and offers magnificent routes for walking or biking. Hikers will appreciate the many trails that crisscross the valley and reveal remarkable panoramic views of the Meuse’s meandering course.
Your stay will also be an opportunity to discover the region’s iconic sites: Monthermé and its spectacular landscapes, Charleville-Mézières—35 km away—and its famous Place Ducale, Sedan, 55 km away, and its impressive fortified castle; Givet; Haybes; the Nichet Caves in Fromelennes; Rocroi and its fortified town; not to mention a trip to Belgium, located just a few kilometers away.
