Théâtre Ducourneau, Musée des Beaux-Arts, the Cathedral and Gallo-Roman Villa
When it was built in Agen, this theatre with its semi-circular facade and totally constructed in reinforced concrete, was extremely unusual. It was decorated by the greatest artists of the time like Calbet, Tourné, Bacqué and Boyé and opened by President Armand Fallières who came from the area.
Every year the theatre schedules shows favouring contemporary creation.
Just opposite this innovative theatre is the Fine Arts Museum (Musée des Beaux-Arts). The streets of the town centre are full of splendid buildings to admire including the Pont Canal bridge, mansions from different periods, the cathedral and remains of a Gallo-Roman villa.
A stone’s throw from the town centre, the Parc Passeligne has plenty of outdoor activities and walks.
