Courchevel is one of the most famous winter sports resorts in the world and the first to be designed and built especially for skiing. Created in 1946 at the instigation of the Département de la Savoie, it quickly became well-known for the quality of its skiing and accommodation. The resort in the Tarentaise area is arranged around six villages, linked by ski lifts and shuttle buses. Although all the villages are united in their search for excellence and attention to detail, each one has retained its own individual atmosphere, so you can choose the one which suits you best !
Méribel is at the heart of the 3 Vallées. Tucked away in the Vallée des Allues, this internationally-famous mountain resort comprises 15 villages and extends for 22km. Its setting is typical of the French Alps with snowy woodland scenery and light- coloured wooden chalets with shingle roofs. Méribel is a subtle blend of elegance, tradition and modernity, ideal for mountain fans !
The Col de la Loze, which forms the link between the Valleys of Courchevel and Méribel, is one of the most beautiful peaks of the 3 Vallées ! It summit at 2,274m offers a truly breathtaking panorama !
Ski and board sports : Méribel and Courchevel are part of the 3 Vallées, the largest skiing area in the world.
Open from December to April, enjoy the thrilling sensations offered by 328 pistes and 166 ski lifts. The area is suitable for skiers of all levels (50% green and blue pistes and 50% red and black pistes). With 85% of the area above 1,800m altitude, optimal snow conditions are guaranteed from Christmas through to spring !
