Excellent séjour

Le gîte est parfaitement situé pour visiter la Castagniccia, avec une vue imprenable sur le couvent d’Alesani et les montagnes, il dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires, l’accueil a été parfait ! Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable. Idéal pour un séjour nature, calme et ressourçant. Une région très authentique avec de somptueux sites naturels, et des édifices remarquables.

Excellent Appartement

A deep dive into the Corsican way of life

This holiday house is on one hand very simple, but on the other hand it is very thoughtfully decorated and breathes a warm atmosphere. It has all the necessary equipment (kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooking plates, a good oven, washing machine, etc.) that one needs for a comfortable stay.

What is even more important is the warm welcome by the owner, who even offered us a self-made chestnut cake, typical of the region. She pointed us to the festivities at the nearby Monastery of Sant' Alesani on the occasion of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (7-8 September). We benefited from her advice for several hikes that she suggested - with attention for difficulty of the terrain, shadow, weather ... Especially the walks along the Mare a Mare Nord trail, the hike to the San Bartuli chapel along the mountain ridges outlining the Castagniccia, and the trip to the top of the Monte Caleruccio all offered breathtaking views, looking out over the entire Castagniccia and sometimes also the sea and the central mountain ridge (Cinto, Paglia Orba, Monte Rotondo, Monte d'Oro ...).

Valle d'Alesani is a small village that is beautifully situated, with the holiday house offering a splendid view of the entire valley. There are no shops. For bigger shops one has to go the the Costa Verde eastern plains (20 km). There is a small shop where one can find local chestnut products, jam, honey, etc. "l'Acqualina" in the nearby village of Felce (8 km away) that we certainly would like to recommend. There is a restaurant a few hundred steps from the door of the holiday house, offering typical Corsican food - often simple in concept, but with honest ingredients of superior quality. All of that with the typical relaxed mediterranean atmosphere.

In all, this is a great place where we felt very warmly welcome and where we were submerged in the magic of the Corsican landscape and traditions.

Excellent et très reposant

Le gîte est situé dans une superbe vallée reposante où l'on croise de nombreux animaux.
Le confort global du gîte ainsi que de la literie sont très appréciables.
La propriétaire est adorable, vit à proximité mais n'est jamais intrusive (pour ceux qui auraient un doute). Nous en profitons pour lui envoyer à nouveau toutes nos amitiés de Belgique, de retour du premier voyage en Corse pour ma maman
Nous recommandons ce gîte sans aucun doute.

Calme et agréable

Un superbe séjour pour notre famille dans ce petit gîte avec une vue imprenable sur les montagnes. Nous avons grandement apprécié le calme du village après nos journées de ballades, l'accueil chaleureux et la générosité de notre hôte... et les visites nocturnes improbables !
De merveilleuses vacances -avec un temps magnifique- dont nous nous souviendrons, en grande partie grâce à ce doux logis.

SERENITE ET TRANQUILLITE

Le cadre parfait pour profiter de la tranquillité et chant des oiseaux mais aussi pour découvrir une merveilleuse région verdoyante, montagneuse (juste ce qu'il faut), marcher sous les chataigniers (chemin en face de la maison) et découvrir de multiples édifices religieux et historiques (vue sur le couvent d'Alesani juste en face), sans oublier les nombreux producteurs qui se font toujours une joie de nous régaler de leur savoir-faire.
La propriétaire aux petits soins pour ses hôtes de passage.
