On 1st level (access by outside stairs) :
- 22 m² living room/kitchen with central wood-burning stove

2nd level (steep inside stairs):

"Bonjour à toutes et à tous,
Sans doute trouvez-vous curieux, original voir déconcertant, de me présenter de manière peu conventionnelle.
Sur cette photo, je n'ai en effet pas plus de sept ans.
Nous sommes en 1967. La Corse d'alors en est à ses balbutiements « touristiques ». Elle se dévoile, sans retenue aucune, aux quelques pionniers qui osent l'aventure. Ceux qui sont encore là et, peut être même que certains sont autour de vous, peuvent témoigner que ces rencontres entre l'autochtone et l'allogène étaient aussi riches pour l'un comme pour l'autre ! Un privilège que de partager en toute innocence leur différence. l'échange culturel occupait leur centre d'intérêt commun. Le sable doré des plages luxuriantes d'aujourd'hui n'était alors en aucun cas une fin en soi.
Sans mépriser le rêve du plus grand nombre de vouloir honorer de leur présence nos côtes et rivages somptueux il est vrai, c'est un voyage vers le passé que je vous invite à faire. Un passé qui m'a nourrit de la plus belle des façons.
Sept ans, c'est aussi l'âge que j'avais quand je foulais aux pieds les abords de cette tour en ruine d'époque génoise (XVIème siècle).
Désertée de toute vie depuis plus de deux siècles, le vent, la pluie, le maquis, les ronces, ont contribué à éroder cette tour de défense. Dame Nature finira par avoir raison de sa toute puissance.
J'ai entrepris de redonner vie à la tour et à ses abords, dont j'ai usé et abusé durant mon enfance, à l'automne 2005. Mon rêve à moi était de voir un jour la tour réhabilitée. Il se réalisera 10 ans plus tard, à l'été 2015.
Convaincu qu'au cours de ces dernières années, elle a du faire plus que de la résistance pour ne pas abdiquer et ne pas disparaître à nos yeux pour toujours. Lorsque je la regarde, je me réjouis d'avoir modestement contribué à ce que son temps désormais ne lui soit plus jamais compté.
Peut-être que ces quelques lignes vous auront convaincu.
Quelques jours au milieu de nulle part à la rencontre de la tour et de votre hôte... Elle, elle n'a pas trop changé. J'ai fait au mieux pour qu'elle garde son état originel !

Abgelegen in der korsischen Macchia liegt dieser verwunschene Turm.
Wunderschön restauriert, einfach toll gemacht von Christian und seiner Familie. Fantasievoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Perfekte Mischung von uraltem Gemäuer, rustikalen Elementen und luxuriöser Ausstattung innen wie aussen.
Wir waren schon an einigen Orten, Christians Turm zählt definitiv mit zu den schönsten Unterkünften in denen wir jemals waren.
Es war eine unglaublich schöne Woche und wir kommen beim nächsten Korsikabesuch sicher wieder.

Jasminé & Sebastian Wundervoll, ruhig und entspannend!
Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) eine herrliche Woche im Turm von Christian. Christian ist ein herzlicher, sehr gastfreundlicher Mensch. Man merkt, dass ihm der Turm viel bedeutet. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und vom ersten Tag an konnten wir uns als Familie wunderbar entspannen. Der Turm liegt verwunschen im Wald. Der Ort hat etwas magisches an sich, wenn man abends die Eulen rufen hört und die Sterne funkeln.
Die Betten sind sehr bequem, der Pool ausreichend groß. Alles sehr sauber. Es gibt schattige Plätzchen für Brettspiel-Abende und insgesamt ist die Ausstattung liebevoll ausgesucht und passt gut zum Gesamteindruck des Turms. In der Gegend gibt es viel zu erkunden und wir waren dankbar über Christians Tipp für eine Badestelle im Fluss. Die Kinder fanden es herrlich.
Wer Ruhe sucht und etwas ganz besonderes erleben will, sollte den Turm von Christian buchen! Wir bedanken und hiermit nochmals von Herzen bei Christian für die freundschaftliche Aufnahme und seine Herzlichkeit.- Cleanliness

Nous avons passé un séjour hors du temps dans cette tour du XVIème siècle magnifiquement rénovée tout en gardant tout son charme.
Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par notre hôte.
Mille mercis, nous avons pu découvrir les paysages époustouflants de votre île en étant logés ici, dans un cadre unique, apaisant, ressourçant , grâce à vous!

Il n'y a pas de magicien ! Il y a seulement la magie qui opère quand les hôtes qui sont reçus ont les mêmes valeur humaines que l'hôte qui reçois !

Something special happened this time with us - we moved back in time 5 centuries... :)
One has to understand: this is a really exceptional property. Very nicely reconstructed tower from 16 century, in the _maquis_.
On the bright side - it is a perfect combination of ancient feeling and modernity. E.g. although stone staircase looks being weathered and ancient, there are plenty of different modern gadgets in the house, including, for example, special teapot/cattle, which "does the job for you". It is very aesthetic site - combination of "everything antic" and nicely designed different features (including, for example, this time of the year "your own" tomato plants, with tasty fresh tomatoes one can eat with a spacial home made olive oil!). Everything you need is there :) - including a pool.
The host is fantastic (thank you, Cristian!), and it seems has invested a lot of effort (and his soul :) ) in this place.
Nonetheless, there are some features one should be aware about the house as well: the noise from the nearby T40 road is, unfortunately, there, the staircase from the living room to the upstairs bed-room is rather steep (i.e. not for the elderly), the toilet is "adjacent" to the main building.
Nonetheless, we were very pleased with our stay overall, with my son leaving the tower only to go to a restaurant :)

Hello, thank you for your opinion. I'm surprised by your comment about road noise, especially as the Tower is located in the middle of the scrubland, separated from the road by an oak forest. We offer an unusual experience in this 16th century tower: the slightly steep staircase, mentioned in the description, and the toilet on the landing are part of the experience, and contribute to the charm and character of the place.
