A cocooning gîte in a characterful property on the outskirts of Chenonceau, ideally located for exploring the Loire Valley, its castles, landscapes, gastronomy and vineyards.

Welcome to Le Clos des Lys, your charming little gîte for two, set in a property steeped in history: the house was once used by employees of the Château de Chissay, to make wine, bread and so on. Your accommodation is located in the center of the village of Chissay-en-Touraine, a commune nestled on the border between Sologne and Touraine, where you'll find a bakery and a tabac-presse. Nearby, you'll find the village of Montrichard (4 kms), with its shops and restaurants, its beach (water sports), and the village of Bourré with its troglodytic caves. The Cher River is ideal for walking, cycling (follow the "Cher à vélo" trail), canoeing and fishing. You're just 10 minutes from the Château de Chenonceau, one of the jewels of the Loire castles, and half an hour from the famous Beauval Zooparc.

All-inclusive Holiday cottage (except tourist tax), on raised first floor (access via staircase of ten or so steps), opposite the owners' house.
On the same level: living room with sitting area (TV, sofa bed,...) and fireplace (wood provided for a fire - on request) and corner with fully-equipped kitchen (oven, fridge-freezer, 4 gas rings, pod coffee maker,...). Bedroom with double bed (160x200), bathroom with shower, washbasin, WC and washing machine.
Outside: shared courtyard, private area with terrace, electric barbecue (on request).
Baby equipment (Umbrella bed and mattress, high chair, potty). Wifi access. Possibility of entering the courtyard to load/unload luggage. Free public parking lots nearby. Non-smoking accommodation. On request: bike storage in an enclosed room; bike rental (please contact owners for rates).
