Just 10 minutes from the Château de Chaumont sur Loire and its Festival International des Jardins and the Château Royal de Blois, and 40 minutes from Beauval Zoo, come and relax in this fully restored farmhouse, set in 2500m² of lawn and woodland, with a south-facing 100m² landscaped courtyard, pergola and garden furniture, and private access to the river. The gîte is 700m from Chambon sur Cisse, a quiet village in the heart of the Cisse Valley and on the edge of the Blois national forest. In Blois, in addition to the Château Royal, you'll find the Maison de la Magie, Agl'Eau (aquatic and balneotherapy center), Bowling-Word, next to Cap Ciné (11 screens). Just 30 minutes away, you'll find the famous Château de Chambord, François 1st's hunting lodge, and its brand-new French gardens. Not forgetting the famous Châteaux of Cheverny, Amboise, Chenonceau, etc...
Entirely on garden level: fitted kitchen opening onto living room (comfortable double sofa bed), 1 bedroom (1 bed 1.40 x 2.10 m), shower room, separate WC. Bed linen provided and heating included. Baby bed available on request. Enclosed utility room for storing bikes or motorcycles if required. Holiday cottage not specifically adapted for disabled guests. Non-smoking accommodation.

Les propriétaires ont accepté notre demande un peu particulière d'arrivée le vendredi pour un départ le mardi.

Raddenbury Holiday 2025
It was a good location and quiet, but was a bit basic particularly in the lounge area. Having what was a drop down bed in the lounge was not ideal and we sat inside on our own fold up chairs that we had taken with us.

Mister Mich Au fil de l'eau
Gîte fonctionnel bien localisé à l'écart du trafic. Local tehcnique bienvenu pour garer les vélos. Grand extérieur disponible. Proche du village qui dispose d'une superette bien pratique. A deux pas de la forêt de Blois, dont l'allée principale est une ligne directe protégée du trafic vers la ville. Aux croisements des routes vers de nombreux châteaux.

Gepic Comfortable stay
This was a comfortable gites in a lovely village. However, we started on a very negative note. The gites owners do not provide towels, which I had completely forgotten so we had non with us. The gentleman owner was kindly but we felt that Madam had a very negative view of us. She stood by the door with very aggressive body language, arms folded and refused to engage with us at any level. We wondered afterwards whether it was because we were 15 minutes late to the gites, but they both had books with them, so were obviously anticipating a slightly late arrival. Also, the gites is not in Valencisse but in Chambon sur Cisse, so this needs to be rectified on the Brittany ferries site as both places exist!!I accept that it was my mistake to not bring towels, but together, they were less than helpful to help us resolve this, saying that they could do nothing as they had to go to work in the evening. They advised us to go to the village store to buy some. We then spent 20 minutes walking to the store and back, but the village store sells only food and we felt that they must have known this! We then had to drive to the other side of Blois to purchase towels and dish towels, after an internet search, a good hours drive on a Saturday night, after a long journey!! We felt very saddened that they could not support us in this and it was definitely not a good start to our week. It was a great pity as the gites is in a beautiful situation, very clean and generally well equipped. I would just add that, although sheets are provided, they are old, worn and bobbly! So, if you are fussy about such things take your own and don't forget your towels!!!

Nous vous remercions pour votre séjour. Nous sommes heureux de lire dans vos notes d'évaluation que vous avez passé un séjour confortable et agréable, que vous avez particulièrement apprécié le confort et la propreté du gîte (notés 5 étoile sur 5) ainsi que l'excellent rapport qualité/prix du gîte (noté 4 étoiles sur 5). Je tiens à préciser que mon épouse ne parle pas du tout anglais, par conséquent il était difficile pour elle d'échanger avec vous, en aucun elle n'a fait preuve d'agressivité, soyez-en assurés. Nous avons pour habitude, dans la mesure du possible, de recevoir nos vacanciers ensemble, cela nous permet souvent d'avoir d'agréables moments d'échange. Chambon sur Cisse fait désormais partie d'un regroupement de trois communes, Valencisse, et il est vrai qu'il faut utiliser un GPS à jour pour arriver au gîte. Toutefois, sur le site Internet des Gîtes de France nous avons mentionné les coordonnées GPS exactes de notre gîte. Le jour de votre arrivée, nous étions en pleine moisson et avons cessé notre travail afin de vous accueillir personnellement... comme nous le faisons habituellement. Nous devions ensuite reprendre notre activité : nous n'avions pas de moyen de paiement sur nous. Cet oubli de serviettes s'étant déjà produit, je vous ai conseillé d'aller en acheter dans le magasin du village à 850 mètres car nous-mêmes en avions déjà acheté dans ce magasin. Nous sommes sincèrement désolés, nous n'avions pas connaissance qu'il n'en vendait plus. Par contre il existe un supermarché à l'entrée de Blois et deux à Onzain, à 15 minutes du gîte. Il n'était pas nécessaire de se rendre de l'autre côté de Blois. Concernant les draps, il se peut que nous en ayons mis un qui soit un peu usagé et en sommes sincèrement désolés. Nous n'avons jamais eu de telles remarques à ce sujet jusqu'à maintenant. Bien cordialement à vous
