L'Ancienne Forge

In the heart of the Creuse Valley, less than a kilometer from a beach and 5 minutes from Argenton-sur-Creuse, renovated former forge with sauna. And 300 meters away: a swimming pool on the same site as the other Holiday cottages, heated according to the weather (shared with 3 other Holiday cottages) from May to September, 1.50 meters deep, a chalet (shower and WC); authorized opening hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a Nordic bath heated with wood (not operational in July and August). Places to visit: Gargilesse-Dampierre (one of France's most beautiful villages), Argentomagus, the Brenne and Lake Eguzon. Zoo Parc de Beauval 1h15 away.

First floor: living room and kitchen in former forge with red-brick fireplace and wood-burning stove - storeroom - toilet - shower room with walk-in shower and sauna.

1st floor: master bedroom with 1 x 160 x 200 cm bed, bath and island including washbasin and WC - living room with study area.

2nd floor: bedroom with 1 x 160 x 200 cm bed and 1 x 1 person bed - Zen area on the mezzanine (2 foam extra bed warmers).
For good insulation, the walls are coated with a mixture of hemp and lime.

Public parking lot 50 meters away.
No garden on site.

Green space 300 meters away, shared with the other Holiday cottages on the Le Broquet site, 800 m² with trampoline, table tennis and petanque area.

Greenway 2 minutes away, with bike rentals in Argenton-sur-Creuse.

You can visit its atypical church, the studio of painter and sculptor Jorge Carrasco, or take a dip in the Creuse river.
