Le Pays de Rabelais is synonymous with a warm welcome and a true art of living. Here you'll find all the charm of a country holiday, where French history was partly written. Joan of Arc came to Chinon to meet Charles VII in 1429, a decisive event in our history. Your gîte offers peace and comfort, and a pleasant garden where young and old alike can spend unforgettable moments. An ideal starting point for discovering the Loire Valley, you'll be lucky enough to be just a few minutes from Chinon and its royal fortress. Come and visit this small town with its medieval streets and alleys. Not far from here, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud is a jewel not to be missed, as are Candes-St-Martin and Montsoreau, ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages in France. The banks of the Loire are magnificent. A little further afield, Saumur, its château and its Cadre Noir are also worth a visit. Amboise and Chenonceau are also within easy reach.
