As the Loire by bike passes in front of the house, you'll be able to discover our region in a pleasant way, and park your bikes right next to your Holiday cottage. You can also rent bikes in Azay le Rideau. We can reserve them for you if you give us sufficient notice. A GR trail is also accessible from the house and offers many Hiking possibilities. We'll be happy to advise you.

In the heart of the Loire castles, in a green and exceptionally tranquil setting, surrounded by unusual animals (deer) and its sheep farm, the Holiday cottage des Méchinières will welcome you with pleasure. All-inclusive Holiday cottage (except tourist tax). Ground floor: living room-kitchen, 1st bedroom (bed 160 + shower room and wc), 2nd bedroom (2 single beds: 115 and 125, + shower room and wc). Separate toilet in hallway. Baby bed and chair. Central heating (included in rates). Private, unenclosed 400 m² garden (ping-pong table to be shared with owners) in a 1 ha park. Included: bed linen + towels + tablecloth + tea towels. For health reasons, the presence of any animal (domestic, pet, exotic), is strictly forbidden in the Holiday cottage and on the property. Non-smoking Holiday cottage.
As the Loire by bike passes in front of the house, you can rent bicycles in Azay le Rideau before you arrive. The GR 34 footpath is within walking distance of the house.

Michésyl Aux portes de l'Histoire
L'atmosphère des lieux est envoûtante, le séjour de tout repos, les environs d'une richesse inégalée. Voisin d'un château des années 1900, le gîte semble en être un héritier au vu de sa décoration et de son mobilier, fiers témoins d'une époque charnière qui vit se déployer de nouveaux génies humains. L'environnement est pastoral, les daims broutent en communion avec les brebis sur des prés d'herbe verte surdimensionnés qui garantissent au voyageur l'abri des nuisances de la civilisation. A quelques minutes de voiture, se dressent nombre de châteaux renaissance célèbres, Azay, Villandry, Ussé, et bien d'autres, moins connus mais tout aussi extraordinaires d'architecture, de décoration, d'histoire et de célèbres personnalités, plus proches de nous que les rois, comme Balzac, Rabelais, Rodin, Camille Claudel... Bref un séjour inoubliable, marqué du sceau de la sympathie par les propriétaires qui trouvent toujours, malgré leurs nombreuses préoccupations, le temps d'accueillir leurs hôtes, de les renseigner et même parfois de les dépanner avec une touchante bonne volonté. Recommander ce gîte est une évidence !

Logement bien agencé.

bgaribaldi Séjour dans un cadre très agréable
Une belle bâtisse très bien équipée dans un cadre de verdure à 2 pas d'Azay-le-Rideau (10min à vélo par petite route non passante ou 5min à voiture) + supermarché/boulangerie à 2min.
Les chambres ont été refaite récemment et possèdent chacune leur salle de bain.
Le jardin ombragé est agréable avec les chaises longues puis avec la table de jardin.
Merci encore aux propriétaires pour leur accueil et leurs conseils, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir et nous le conseillerons aux personnes voulant venir dans le secteur.- Cleanliness
