Situated in the heart of a vast 30-hectare private estate, approx. 3 km from the magnificent Château d'Azay-le-Rideau and the village of Saché (Balzac museum), you'll be seduced by the surrounding countryside and the peace and quiet. The property houses a superb 16th-century mansion where the owners live. They will be delighted to share with you their passion for the history of this place, which was also once a very large walnut and apple farm. The hens and roosters in the collection will certainly delight you with their proud appearance and their singing. You can also enjoy a stroll through the Forest, from where you can walk to one of the region's must-see villages, Villaines-les-Rochers. Partly troglodytic, Villaines-les-Rochers is home to one of France's most unique crafts: basketry. The castles of Langeais, Rigny-Ussé, Chinon and du Rivau are less than 30 minutes away.

Holiday cottage in an early 19th-century house, ideal for families, attached to a large property where the owners live (a 16th-century mansion). Ground floor: fully-equipped kitchen, living room (sofa, wood-burning stove, 120cm extra bed, etc.), 1st bedroom (140cm bed), 2nd bedroom (2 80cm beds that can be made into 160cm beds), shower room/wc between the 2 bedrooms (shampoo and shower gel included). Interior access to 2nd bedroom is via 1st bedroom, then shower room (2nd bedroom also has independent exterior access). Level break inside (2 steps to living room, 1 step to shower room). Baby bed.
