Le Gargantua

Le Gargantua is a spacious 380 m² Holiday cottage for families and friends. It is set in the beautifully preserved old buildings of the Château des Coudreaux, with private heated Piscine and bread oven in the gîte. You can visit the Alpacas and donkeys in the animal park and admire the Aviary. An evening of "Fouées" (a local specialty) and oven-baked pizzas is offered. Pieter will be happy to help you start up the oven and supply the bread dough (3kg free). In the region of truffles and saffron, in the heart of the Vallée des Rois, François Rabelais would certainly have been inspired to tell us his gargantuan stories. His footsteps probably led him to the Holiday cottage "Le Gargantua" with its private heated Piscine, just 5 km from his home. His philosophy of joie de vivre, conviviality and relaxation will ensure a successful stay, and you'll be very welcome at the crossroads of the Chinonais, Saumurois and Loudunais regions. An evening of "Fouées" (a local specialty) and pizzas baked in the bread oven is offered. Pieter will be happy to help you get the oven up and running, and supply the bread dough (3kg free). All you need to bring is something to eat with them (rillettes, chèvre...). You'll love the Alpacas and the aviary with its crowned crane and ornamental birds.
