Independant house in a restored fortifired farm (16th-17th century). Unrestricted panoramic views of the Vienne Valley, very peaceful. Grnd floor: living rm (2 sofas). Kitchen, 1 bedroom (1 double bed), bathroom, toilet. 1st Floor: 3 bedrms of which 1 is en suite with access via an other bedroom, (1 double bed 160cm wide, 4 sgle beds, 1 child's bed), 1 shower rm, 1 WC. Electric heating (extra cost upon meter reading). Enclosed courtyard and grounds of around 4000 m². 2nd gîte also on site. Firewood (extra cost: 7€/basket). You are there at the heart of the Chinon vineyard, 15 km from Azay le Rideau and 4 km from Crissay sur Manse, a village listed as one of the Most Beautiful villages of France. The "Colombier" is the old main house of a fortified farm with a dovecote and bread oven. Built from the 16th century onward it has been tastefully restored. The group of buildings is full of charm and overlooks the countryside enjoying an exceptional silence. Close to the wine's road of Chinon.

    This was a lovely place to stay, a fabulous building and with beautiful scenery all around. We were welcomed in a very friendly and flexible way. Thank you.

    We used the barbecue and enjoyed walking in the local area.

    Something that would be helpful to future visitors might be to have essentials such as soap, tea towels on arrival (and, no less practical, a few more toilet rolls).

    Nous avons effectué notre deuxième séjour dans ce gîte, 13 ans après le précédent.
    Nous avons goûté au calme de l'endroit, rencontre avec les animaux lièvres et chevreuils.
    Visites de châteaux et balades remarquables autour des jardins de VILLANDRY.

    Belle demeure du Colombier

    belle demeure ancienne, très au calme, à 15 km à la ronde les promenades et visites sont nombreuses. mi-octobre le beau temps était au rendez-vous.
    si l'occasion se représente nous reviendrons avec plaisir au Colombier.

    Pour la gente féminine, un miroir dans chaque chambre serait bien venu...

    Un havre de paix

    Une très belle batisse qui trône sur le plateau, un jardin soigné.
    Nous étions en famille et rien ne manquait.
    L'accueil par Madame Meunier était efficace dans la description des lieux et des environs, elle a répondu à chaque appel, très appréciable.
    Malheureusement nous avons dû partir plus tôt que prévu, il faudra revenir ...
