A charming home nestled in the heart of the peaceful village of Assay, between Richelieu, Cité du Cardinal and Chinon, another jewel of the Touraine region, your gîte boasts a superb garden, ideal for relaxation and outdoor games, and an interior whose spaciousness and original layout lend it undeniable charm. The swimming pool is a delight for young and old alike, in a pleasant courtyard enclosed by tufa stone walls, where privacy and tranquility are fully guaranteed. Staying here is synonymous with well-being: 2 lounges for relaxing, libraries, numerous board games, billiards area... Nearby, discover the Château du Rivau and the Richelieu-Chinon greenway for superb walks and bike rides. A little further afield, you'll find the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, the town of Saumur with its château and Cadre Noir, as well as Candes-St-Martin and Monsoreau, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages in France, Amboise, Chenonceau and Beauval zoo.

Ground floor: living room (fireplace), 2 lounges (connected TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, fireplace), fitted kitchen (Nespresso pod coffee maker and filter coffee maker), French billiards room, shower room with wc. 1st floor: 1 bedroom (1 x 160x200 bed), 1 bedroom (2 x 90 beds). 2nd floor: 1 bedroom (1 bed 160, bathroom with toilet). 3rd floor: 1 bedroom (2 single beds), shower room with wc. WIFI. Electric heating (included in rates). Enclosed 8,000 m² garden, bike barn (not lockable). Heated private Piscine from May to mid-September (weather permitting). Piscine open from 01/06 to 15/09, weather permitting. The presence of a small stream on the property requires parents to take extra care with young Kids.

Maarten Un endroit calme et charmant
La maison est grande et decorée avec soin. Le jardin est immense, offrant suffisammant d'ombre et de soleil. Elle est située dans un petit village très calme. Des villes comme Chinon et Richelieu et de nombreux vignobles sont accessible en 10 à 15 minutes en voiture.

Les Tamalous Un havre de paix
Cette demeure familiale est superbement située dans un petit village près de la piste cyclable. Un bonheur pour nous puisque nous avions choisi de visiter quelques monuments célèbres de la région en vélo. Tout est prévu pour que les hôtes soient comme à la maison. Cheminée, billard, piscine, jardin et ses salons, livres, jeux ... Tout est disposition pour les jours de pluie comme pour les belles journées ensoleillées.
Le village est coquet et calme. Bref nous recommandons vivement cette maison.- Cleanliness

JP Wonderful tranquil holiday destination
We arrived to a most friendly welcome from the owners. The accommodation is in a former presbytery within a wonderful tranquil setting of huge gardens and private off road parking secure behind electric gates. A fully fitted kitchen with full utensils and electric gadgets and a huge pantry. Nice and clean and well kept. The facilities were excellent, beautiful pool, table tennis, hammock, trampoline and indoors table football and billiards. Lovely comfy beds and plenty of hot water. Quite a lot of stone stairs so not ideal for anybody with walking issues.

LDom Great house
Great stay at this beautiful house. Even when its not the best weather, there is no wind next to the pool, so kids could play. The garden is also great, the open area, ... a great place to relax.
We travelled with 7 adults, 2 small kids and a baby. The house was spacious and the beds were good.
