La Rochelière is located in Vouvray, a charming town renowned for its wines. The house backs onto a rock in which several troglodytic cellars were once built. The estate's swimming pool is located high up, accessible via a staircase carved into the rock, and has a view over the surrounding area. A sauna is also available on reservation and for an additional fee.
At the foot of the church, on the south-facing hillside, La Rochelière is a late 18th-century classical-style mansion. Below remarkable staircases opening onto the main courtyard, it features a superb character outbuilding housing 4 charming bedrooms. The 5th bedroom is troglodytic and located in the wing of the house. All five bedrooms have private shower rooms and toilets. 2 bedrooms (each with 1 x 160cm bed), 2 bedrooms (each with 1 x 160cm bed + 1 x 1cm bed), 1 bedroom (1 x 160cm bed, 2 x 1cm beds). Guest lounge (TV, ADSL Internet, WIFI). Owners' Piscine and Finnish Spa (no Sauna or Hammam). Non-smoking rooms. English, German and Finnish spoken.

Mo' Lieu insolite pour visite château
Lieu insolite dans un village bien placé pour les châteaux de la Loire mais déception du partage avec les hôtes qui ne nous recommandent pas la région … (restaurants, lieu de pique nique ou tips sur les environs)
Déception du petit déjeuné (pain et fromage local mais jus d orange de grande surface mis en carafe, pas de fruits locaux) auquel nous rappelons à l hôte les manques et besoins chaque matin.
Parking non structuré et anarchique lorsque le gîte est plein.
Beaucoup de marches (non stipulé dans l annonce) et clim non fonctionnelle et défectueuse pour une nuit sous les toits. La literie est ancienne et dure…
Bref idéale pour une nuit isolée mais pas pour plusieurs.

Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié le caractère insolite de notre établissement ainsi que sa situation idéale pour découvrir les châteaux de la Loire. Concernant les conseils sur la région, nous aimons partager nos bonnes adresses et recommandations avec nos voyageurs. Nous regrettons que cela n'ait pas été le cas lors de votre séjour et serons encore plus attentifs à l'avenir à proposer spontanément nos suggestions.
Au sujet de la climatisation, son fonctionnement vous a bien été expliqué à votre arrivée. Si des difficultés persistaient, il ne fallait surtout pas hésiter à revenir vers nous : nous nous serions fait un plaisir de vous accompagner à nouveau afin de garantir votre confort. BD Bonne adresse ; mais chambre d'hôtes dans l'annexe
Une bonne adresse, mais attention les chambres d'hôtes ne sont pas situées dans le château visible sur la photo de présentation mais dans une annexe.
