Set on a 17th-century farmhouse, this gîte is a unique place to stay. Its decor, furnishings and superb restoration make it incomparable. Ground floor: living room, kitchen, bath/shower, wc. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms, 1 with panoramic terrace, spa bathroom and wc (each with 160cm bed), 3rd bedroom on mezzanine (3 single beds). WIFI connection available. Central heating. Enclosed garden (swing and trampoline). On-site water feature and renowned local restaurant (many guides): l'Etape Gourmande. All-inclusive gîte (except tourist tax): heating, electricity, wood, sheets (beds made up), linen, end-of-stay cleaning.

Une hôtesse bienveillante et charmante, un lieu magique empreint de sérénité, un gîte étonnant comme un petit musée meublé avec beaucoup de goût et très fonctionnel : vue de la cuisine sur une immense mare avec des canards des ragondins, et même un âne! Formidable et à deux pas des plus beaux châteaux de la Loire et de la Vienne. À recommander…

Excellent séjour passé en famille dans un gîte tout confort, aux volumes généreux.
Amoureux de l'authenticité et de la pierre, nous avons été comblés !
Environnement très calme, propice à la sérénité, le jardin somptueux et très joliment arboré invite à la détente et à la déconnexion totale.
L'étape gourmande sur place nous laisse un excellent souvenir, une pause gastronomique indispensable dans la région.

Excellent séjour. L'accueil était parfait, une bouteille de pétillant de Loire frais à l'appui. La maison est superbe et le domaine également avec le plaisir de rencontrer Nini, la petite ânesse au passage. Bref, nous avons passé un très bon séjour !

Claughton A perfect place in the heart of the Loire valley
The house is in a beautiful courtyard, 10 minutes' walk from the chateau and village of Villandry. It's 15 minutes walk to walks along the Indre, 15 minutes drive to Azay le Rideau, 25 minutes to Tours, 45 minutes along the Loire to Saumur. i.e. it's in a perfect location.
There's a duck pond - with ducks - and a donkey to be seen from the kitchen window. There's an enclosed garden, too, ideal for a dog. The 17th century house has been beautifully restored with high levels of comfort but also original features and furniture. The kitchen has everything - as well as the view, the living area has a big, effective fire and a good space for dining. The bathrooms were modern, too, and there was always hot water. So, it was a perfect place for six of us to stay and it had everything we wanted. The owner, who lives in the house next door could not have been more friendly or welcoming: we were there at Christmas and she had put up a tree and decorations.

Caroline Séjour idéal
Demeure magnifiquement restaurée, lieu calme et impeccable. Notre chienne a aussi aimé notre séjour.
Béatrice est aux petits oignons pour ses hôtes, qu'ils soient humains ou toutous!
Très bien situé en plus pour faire les châteaux avec grand parking et grand jardin clôturé.
Nous avons déjà prévu de revenir !

TallBird Excellent accommodation
We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed ourselves. The owner was incredibly welcoming and spoke brilliant English. The house was beautiful and well equipped. The children loved all the animals, especially the donkey and the very friendly cat. The location was perfect for exploring that area of the Loire valley, with lots to do for all the family. The only reason for not giving it 5/5 was that there was an issue with the water/drains which had a minor impact on our otherwise perfect stay. The owners worked hard to resolve the issue and offered to pay for the bottled water that we used.
The restaurant on site was very good and the staff incredibly welcoming. I was worried that it might impact our stay but we never had any issues with noise or people.
