Here you'll find a place that exudes serenity and happiness, art de vivre and happy vacations. The spacious rooms, the numerous facilities and the terrace with its magnificent view over the village and the restful countryside are the perfect ingredients to make your stay in the Loire Valley unforgettable. What's more, the swimming pool is perfect for a refreshing dip in the sun, and the small woods on the property are ideal for walks and picnics. Not far away, you'll be seduced by the rich heritage that surrounds you: Chinon, the jewel of the Loire Valley, Azay-le-Rideau, Crissay-sur-Manse, one of France's most beautiful villages, Villaine-les-Rochers (capital of basket-making), Chenonceau, Amboise...

We were impressed with La Maison - it far exceeded our expectations. The quality and finish of the gite, its location and all the little extras made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The pool is lovely, and the terrace was a great place to spend time with our family.
Bruno was always very helpful and knows the area inside out, down to the best local boulangeries and which markets to visit on which days.
A lot of thought has clearly gone into this gite, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Maija Beautiful house. lovely village
We have rented houses from Gites-De-France since 1989. This was one of the best houses we have had. Beautifully and stylishly furnished . Lovely yard, good kitchen. I would have liked more big pots, but this is just a small minus. Sharing the pool was a bit stressful: two hours in the morning, two in the afternoon. I think it would be better if you could use the pool at any time, for example until 19:00. It was not a private pool. And how lovely: Ritva (one of the owners) is from Finland!
Bruno and Ritva were the best possible hosts. Many thanks to them for this. Also, a special mention about the cleanliness of the house. This has not always been the case!- Cleanliness

Thank you for your positive review and we are pleased you enjoyed your holiday. As you booked the gite for 2 people we would like to add some detail to a couple of the points in your review : the gite is for 6 people maximum and equipped accordingly which has always been sufficient. There is however not enough equipment to cater for the 11 additional family and friends you invited to the house. Notwithstanding this had you asked we would have been able to make some additional pots available. it is a private pool exactly as described on the website : Heated swimming pool (10x4 m) to be shared with the owners and another gîte (with set times so you can enjoy it in peace). The set times (emailed to you in March) ensures everybody has their own exclusive/private time around the pool. Managing the expectation of the children of family and friends who you invited to use the pool I am sure was not easy. There is always flexibility around the hours if it suits everybody – you only had to ask as our guests in the other gite did. Finally thank you for taking the time to write the review
