La Fontaine

Our gîte, which can accommodate up to 4 people, is located just a stone's throw from the pretty tourist town of Amboise, with all its shops and amenities, and the world-famous Château Royal at its heart. Situated in a quiet corner of the countryside, the house is the former outbuilding of a farm and is the ideal base for exploring the Loire Valley. The region is home to many of the world's finest châteaux (Amboise, Chenonceau, Blois, Villandry, Azay le Rideau, Langeais, Le Clos Lucé, etc.), vineyards (Vouvray, Montlouis, Chinon, Bourgueil) and gastronomic delights. And don't forget the Aquarium de Touraine 3 km away, the nearby "Loire à vélo" cycling route (loan of 2 bikes available on request) or Tours, the regional capital.

A former farm outbuilding, this Holiday cottage can sleep 4 people in total (thanks to 2 single beds in the living room). The owners live 200 m away. Ground floor: living room with access via 5 steps to fully-equipped kitchen/living room, bedroom (2-person bed), shower room/wc. Baby equipment: bed, chair, bathtub, changing mat. Electric heating (extra/metered). Enclosed courtyard 100 m². Access from courtyard via 3 small steps. Firewood option (50 €/stère). Covered shed for 1 car. Non-smoking Holiday cottage. Loan of 2 bicycles on request. Lake de la Varenne sous Chandon, lovely walk. Electric vehicle terminal about 6 kms away.
