As for the surrounding countryside, it's ideal for walks or bike rides on the many paths and quiet country roads that criss-cross it. You'll be close to the spa town of La Roche-Posay (with its casino, racecourse, golf course and balneotherapy center), the Haute Touche wildlife park (the largest in France) and the Brenne Regional Nature Park (Pays des Mille Étangs). Unless you'd prefer to discover the incredible prehistoric treasures at the Musée du Grand-Pressigny, the Archéolab in Abilly or the facsimile of the Roc aux Sorciers in Angles-sur-l'Anglin, one of France's Most Beautiful Villages. Also worth a visit: Loches, Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry.
