Located on the Manoir de l'Ermitage estate in the heart of the Loire Valley, near Chinon and Saumur.

In the heart of the Châteaux de la Loire region and its famous vineyards, you'll be close to everything that makes the Loire Valley so famous and rich: châteaux (Chinon, Rigny-Ussé, Azay le Rideau, Villandry, Langeais), vineyards (Chinon, Bourgueil, Saint Nicolas). The gîte, a combination of wood and stone, is the former home of the kennel master of Louis XI's hunting rendezvous. The rich history of this place and its superb surroundings will enable you to enjoy this 9-hectare haven of peace, where meadows, a charming river and a bamboo grove invite you to stroll or relax. The gîte is close to the Chinon forest, and a Grande Randonnée trail for walkers and cyclists. A loop of the Loire cycle route borders the property. Your gîte was renovated in 2021 using bio-sourced materials. In the heart of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park, the owners have developed an organic business producing medicinal plants, watercress and honey.

All-inclusive gîte (except tourist tax) on the first floor, in the outbuildings of an old farmhouse. The site houses the owner and his guest rooms. The gîte offers private outdoor space and access. Ground floor: living room (sofa bed, TV, pellet stove) opening onto kitchen, 1 bedroom (2 single beds (90cm) can be made into a double bed (180cm)), shower room, separate toilet. 1 additional 90cm bed. Electric heating (included in price). Unenclosed courtyard. Washing machine available at owner's. Non-smoking accommodation.
