Our great writers are not to be outdone: the spirit of Rabelais blows through La Devinière, his birthplace near Chinon, and that of Balzac through Saché, which inspired him to write Le lys dans la Vallée. Nearby are the remains of the Gallo-Roman aqueduct at Luynes and the priory of Saint Côme, Ronsard's last home. You'll be the only guests in the house, and your accommodation will be perfect: two interconnecting bedrooms make up a cheerful suite where color is king. The second bedroom can be adapted to suit your needs: living room and study if you're coming as a couple, or an extra bedroom with two twin beds (or one king-size bed), depending on your requirements. A welcome tray, board games, books for young and old and documentation on the region await you. Presented with refinement and served weather permitting in the garden or in the charmingly decorated living room, your breakfast includes a majority of organic, local or homemade products.
