In the heart of the Loire Valley, at the gateway to Tours, the capital of Touraine, come and stay in a haven of peace, where charm, space and the art of entertaining come together. Valérie has designed her home to be as comfortable and well-equipped as possible, so you'll feel right at home. The art of living in Touraine will begin for you at Les Mésanges Tourangelles and continue throughout your stay in the Land of Castles: in addition to the great names of Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau, there are also those of Chinon, Loches, Langeais and Rigny-Ussé, as well as the more confidential sites of Islette, Rivau and Gizeux. Our great writers are not to be outdone: the spirit of Rabelais blows through La Devinière, his birthplace near Chinon, and that of Balzac through Saché, which inspired him to write Le lys dans la Vallée. Nearby are the remains of the Gallo-Roman aqueduct at Luynes and the priory of Saint Côme, Ronsard's last home. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby banks of the Loire, a UNESCO World Heritage site....

You'll be the only guests in the house, and your accommodation will be perfect: two interconnecting bedrooms make up a cheerful suite where color is king. The second bedroom can be adapted to suit your needs: living room and study if you're coming as a couple, or an extra bedroom with two twin beds (or one king-size bed), depending on your requirements. A welcome tray, board games, books for young and old and documentation on the region await you. Presented with refinement and served weather permitting in the garden or in the charmingly decorated living room, your breakfast includes a majority of organic, local or homemade products. Les Mésanges Tourangelles' strengths: a garden-level location with its own entrance and private terrace, the house's natural coolness in summer, the peace and quiet of the property's green setting, which encourages biodiversity, and a privileged geographical location a quarter of an hour's drive from Old Tours.
Ground floor: 40 m2 space comprising 2 bedrooms of 20 m2 each (1 with 1 x 160cm bed, 1 with 2 x 80cm beds), bathroom (with bath and shower), separate wc. WIFI connection. Individual heaters available in cooler months. Private terrace overlooking the park. Table tennis. Electric vehicle charging on site and/or electric charging station less than 1 km away in the center of Fondettes. Non-smoking accommodation. Pets not allowed.

UK & IRL couple Delightful&relaxing stay at Valerie's lovely house
We enjoyed a delightful stay at Valerie's lovely house, and she was a very warm, generous and friendly owner with plenty of good recommendations of interesting places to visit.
The guest accommodation is spacious and quite private which we appreciated. As the weather during our stay was a little cold, we made good use of the relaxing indoor seating areas and room heaters to read books and play board games in the warmth - Valérie provided an excellent selection of games for both indoor and outdoor purposes.
The bed was very comfortable and the single beds in the other room worked well for us as sofas. The only item missing was a small fridge for storing the fresh milk we used for our many teas & coffees, but we adjusted to long-life milk quickly.
Breakfast was served in Valerie's adjoining lounge, reached via a short pathway through her beautiful garden. She was very willing to offer alternative breakfast options each morning and my wife appreciated the eggs Valérie cooked for her on our last morning.
Aux Messanges Tourangelles is a lovely place to stay for touring this very pretty region, with plenty of nearby gorgeous towns and chateaux to visit. The gentle countryside is also ideal for relaxing walks or cycling away from crowds and we really enjoyed our time in Fondettes. We would truly recommend Valerie's chambres d'hote for an excellent and good value holiday.

Nous avons passes 4 nuits sur place mi aout.La maison est pleine de charme, au calme et tres fraiche ce qui est reposant apres une journee de visite sous la chaleur.Valerie est charmante et joyeuse.La literie est tres confortable.La maison est tres bien equipee.Il ne manque rien a notre confort.Une tres belle adresse a conseiller !
