Alain and Jocelyne welcome guests to the family character home which they have totally restored using eco-friendly materials, in the country near the historic centre of Pontivy with shops and leisure facilities. Explore Pontivy along the footpath 100m from the gite which takes you on a tour of the town. The semi-detached gite is next to another and close to the owners' home on an arable farm. GR.FL : Attractive lounge-diner with exposed stonework. Second lounge with open-plan kitchen. Shower room. WC. UPSTAIRS : Bedroom 1 : super king-size bed (or 2 single beds). Sofa bed on landing, if required. Automatic, wood-fired central heating. Bed linen and towels provided, beds made on arrival. Local tourist tax : 1€ per adult per day.

Agréable chalet à Pontivy
5/5Séjour agréable dans un cadre plein de charme et reposant. Le chalet est fonctionnel et confortable. Idéalement situé à l'entrée du centre de Pontivy, des axes routiers et de centres de commerces. Les propriétaires, très sympathiques et disponibles, nous ont offerts de succulents légumes du potager. Nous reviendrons, c'est sûr !

Cycling Holiday in Brittany based near Pontivy
5/5We stayed in a modern 2 person annexe to an old French Manor house on a working arable farm approx.2 kms outside Pontivy.
We were met by the owners Alain & Jocelynn who were extremely hospitable and very patient with our almost non-existent French.On arrival the fridge had a few basics and a delicious rhubarb pie from Jocelynn with ingredients from her garden.
We chose the property as a base to explore the rivers and canals on our bicycles and it proved an excellent choice. We were also close enough to Pontivy to walk via country paths to the town during the evenings.
The Gite was modern well furnished with plenty of hot water and set in an extremely quite and peaceful Manor House garden. Some work was being carried out on the Manor House but did not affect our stay. Our only suggestion would be that the area just outside the annexe patio doors were you sit for a drink or to eat alfresco needs a bit of formal attention ( small patio type area perhaps) but with the ongoing work this may already be scheduled to be done.
We spent 3 very comfortable weeks at the Gite and were sad to leave although temperatures in the 40's was a little challenging for two holidaymakers from Wales!!- Cleanliness 5/5

Tout simplement parfait.
5/5Après un accueil parfait dans un gîte clair et propre ,nous avons passé une semaine à découvrir la région. Nous n'avons pas été déçus. Dommage que le château Rohan était fermé. Ce sera pour une prochaine fois.Bien pratique,la proximité des commerces.
