L'île Rêveuse

From the landing stage, the path climbs up to the village. Molène is a hill some twenty meters high, a small, round, robust island, a dome topped by a bell tower and semaphore. The sky suddenly seems immense. A bed of generous nasturtiums at the corner of a low wall, a field of poppies between two vegetable gardens, upturned canoes lying in the grass... The small gardens are well tended.
The island and its village are full of stories worth telling. From the church of St Ronan to the semaphore and the archaeological site, Molène has plenty to surprise you. Away from the village, Molène's archaeological site has revealed a wealth of information about the arrival of various technologies on the island, starting with bronzeworking. A site full of history, deeply linked to island life in Finistère.
