Gîte de la grève blanche

Très bon séjour

Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour à la Grève Blanche. La maison est confortable, la proximité de la plage et le calme nous ont conquis. Et quelle vue depuis l'étage !

Super séjour, presque les pieds dans l'eau.

Coup de cœur pour cette maison, que ce soit en famille ou entre amis.
Elle est idéalement placée à deux pas du GR 34, ce qui promet de belles balades le long de la mer. Une petite porte au fond du jardin y accède directement. Pour la plage de sable merveilleusement blanc et doux : 10mn à pieds et vous y êtes.
Le village et ses commerces ne sont pas loin, à vélo ou en voiture.
La maison en elle-même est agréable et très fonctionnelle. Il y a de tout pour y passer un excellent séjour.
La literie est confortable et l'électroménager en très bon état.
Une buanderie extérieure pour les machines et une autre intérieure qui permet de stocker, par exemple les valises, est un plus quand on voyage.
Le Rdc et le 1er sont isolés par une porte en haut de l'escalier, ce qui permet une intimité entre deux familles ou entre amis, ce qui est très appréciable.
Le salon du 1er, avec son balcon sur la très belle vue mer, est parfait pour un apéro ou simplement contempler la vue.
Ce cette maison, départ pour de nombreux sites et paysages à parcourir ou simplement, passer de plage en plage, toutes aussi belles les unes que les autres.
Comme vous l'aurez compris, après nos deux semaines dans cette location, nous recommandons chaleureusement.

Excellent gîte avec vue sur mer

Le plus du gîte est le salon à l'étage avec vue sur la mer.

Chambre avec vue

Le gîte est spacieux et la localisation est parfaite à côté d'une plage familiale au Finistère. Le gîte est bien aménagé avec une terrasse et un salon qui donne directement sur la mer et ses somptueux couchers de soleil.

Excellent gite, some disappointments

We stayed in this gite in 2023 and were pleased that it is in an excellent position, well equipped and clean. As before we were greeted enthusiastically by our hosts who gave us a small gift as a welcome.

But this time we were disappointed to find that things that were faulty or broken in 2023 had still not been attended to. For example:
- the front door lock mechanism is damaged making the door difficult to close and lock;
- the garage door lock has no key, meaning that there there is no where secure to leave valuable items like bicycles;
- the gas pressure for the hob is far too high so the flames are too big, even on the lowest setting, so it is impossible to cook anything slowly and gently;
- the Internet connection to the wifi is very slow, around three megabits per second (3MBps), fine for emails but not for streaming or gaming. The hosts are aware of this and offered to buy a 5G 'mobile broadband router', but we had left by then.

We had a problem with the dishwasher which would not fill with water. The hosts 'solved' it by pulling the dishwasher out and banging it back into place!
There is an extractor fan in the upstairs shower room which runs 24/7, using up a least 1kw a day of your 8kw a day allowance. There is no way to turn it off, there should be.
Also, parents might like to note that the wooden climbing frame in the photos has a lot of pigeon crap /merde over it, and would need to be cleaned before use.

There are some instruction leaflets for the appliances, but most are out of date - as are most of the tourist brochures; and the Guest Information Folder provided by Gite de France is almost empty - not very welcoming. Like these other items, some maintenance work / updating is needed. We might then consider coming back to the gite.
