This inn (built in the '70s), next door to the train station (built in 1902), is coming back to life and is once again buzzing with the sound of you, the traveler!
In the heart of the picturesque village of Gouarec in Central Brittany, it awaits you along the river Blavet for an unforgettable stay.
Hikers and cyclists take note: you're on Voie Verte n°6, GR 37, La Vélodyssée. Bikes are available for hire at the Campsites in Gouarec. Several Hiking itineraries are available for all levels.
If you're looking for something more original, there's no shortage of choice: the 'Vélorail du Kreiz Breizh' velorails and the local tourist train (a complementary activity for Julia and her volunteers), as well as the river boats that invite you to take a trip.
Welcome between the Brocéliande Forest and the Monts d'Arrée, close to Lake Guerlédan and the Bon Repos Abbey, on the banks of the Nantes-Brest Canal.
5 Bed and breakfasts, 5 atmospheres!
4 in the Auberge building and 1 in the form of a studio (PMR accessible) on the ground floor of the old station.
Each room has a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet, a double bed and TV.
On the raised ground floor of the Auberge, the beautiful breakfast room will also take you on a journey. Julia serves fresh breakfasts made exclusively with local produce from local markets.
Next door, you'll find a kitchen (including fridge, freezer and courtesy tray).
Behind the Auberge, a vast gravelled courtyard offers conviviality and relaxation areas.
Private parking space on the north gable of the Auberge.
The Auberge has been awarded the "Accueil Vélo" label for its bicycle storage facilities.

On the 2nd floor: a vast bedroom with a 160x200 double bed, a private boudoir-style sitting room with a 90x190 single bed, and a large bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. A journey to the Orient, aboard the legendary train that once linked Paris to Istanbul... Agatha Christie has surely left her mark on the décor. In any case, a luxurious, boudoir style reigns.

Rien ne prédestinait Julia à poser ses valises à Gouarec. En fait, Christian, son mari, passionné de réseau ferré breton cherchait depuis longtemps à acquérir une gare ! Il a jeté son dévolu sur celle de Gouarec, dont les bâtiments et parcelles (y compris 4,6 km de voie ferrée) ont été acquis en plusieurs étapes à partir de 2010, année du coup de coeur. Depuis, ils ont la volonté ferme et vive de faire revivre les lieux, de recréer une vraie dynamique basée sur le loisirs et l'accueil, le tout ancré dans le territoire et ses habitants dont de nombreux bénévoles qui aident Julia.

Pat 1 nuit lors d'une rando à vélo.
Très bon accueil et chambre de caractère. Excellent petit déjeuner. Très proche de la vélodyssée. Resto, épicerie et boulangerie à proximité.

Sovereign Le Transsibérien
L’auberge des Trains Mythiques est bien située, à proximité immédiate du centre de Gouarec. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil de la part de Julia. L’endroit est calme, atypique, et survivant d’une autre époque. Parking privé dans la cour de la gare. Rien qu’en passant le portail on sent que le temps s’arrête et laisse place au voyage.
Nous avons séjourné dans la chambre dédiée au légendaire train Transsibérien où une décoration chaleureuse et le calme environnant nous ont mis sur les rails de l’évasion.
Une cour extérieure offre un espace détente au bord de la rivière. Nous sommes repartis pour de nouvelles aventures après un petit-déjeuner copieux et un échange très sympathique avec les propriétaires.
La prochaine fois nous prendrons un billet pour l’Orient Express !J&C

Audrey et David jolie decouverte
Gouarec petit bourg charmant et vivant, les personnes sont polies et avenantes. Le tour en train touristique rajoute un cachet en plus. C'est une jolie parenthèse à faire dans le quotidien.
