Domaine Les Belles Fontaines

The entire building is an old farmhouse whose outbuildings have been converted into the main dwelling, creating 3 bed and breakfast rooms. Combining a sense of humor with a warm welcome, we have made a broad reference to this land of wine-growing hospitality, and named our rooms: Couchey-là on the ground floor, a 160cm bed, with private shower room and WC. Monte et lit and Beaune Nuits, double rooms of 16 m2 and 18 m2 upstairs, with 140cm beds, private shower rooms and WC. On the first floor, you'll find a spacious dining room and living room with library and fireplace. Breakfasts are served with local and/or homemade products, fruit from the garden and eggs from our hens. Upstairs, you'll also find a second relaxation area with TV and board games. When the weather's fine, you can enjoy the garden, with tables, chairs and deckchairs at various points in this shared space. From mid-June, an additional outdoor area is available in the afternoons, with a semi-underground swimming pool, garden furniture, deckchairs, table and chairs.

Carole and Michel, originally from Hauts de France (formerly Bas Pays Bourguignons), have lived in Lille for over 30 years. They bought this beautiful property in the south of the Yonne. Bierry is a peaceful village, with its local stone buildings, springs, château, washhouse and fountain, giving it a special charm. Bierry is 20 minutes from the A6 freeway exits (21-22-23) and 20 minutes from the Montbard TGV train station, where you can relax and recharge your batteries. It's also a good "base camp" for exploring Burgundy Franche Comté, with its remarkable châteaux and religious buildings (Vezelay-Fontenay-Guédelon, châteaux d'Ancy Le Franc, de Bussy Rabutin, ) medieval towns (Semur en Auxois, Noyers, Flavigny....), famous people (Vercingétorix, Buffon...), unspoilt nature (Parc du Morvan), winegrowing jewels (Chablis and many others), nearby markets (Avallon, Montbard, Montréal, Semur) and renowned gastronomy. The property is located on départementale 501 towards Avallon, on the left, last house in the village down the road. From the listed fountain square, the first Gîtes de France® sign directs you. The guest house is adjoined by a Holiday cottage, which is the first entrance to the property. Continue for a few meters on the main road, take the second entrance on the bend and drive down the driveway until you reach the courtyard of the house, where you can park next to the stone barbecue.
