La petite maison dans la prairie! Delightful traditional farmhouse dating from 1900, carefully restored & revisited as a gentle holiday retreat, nestled in the quiet Charolais countryside (largely protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems), in the heart of the sublime local bocage, very close to various vast wild forests, 10 km from Paray-le-Monial, the illustrious sanctuary city of the Sacred Heart (all amenities on site, including supermarkets). Absolute tranquility nestled in a peaceful, scattered rural hamlet, adjacent to the famous Canal du Centre (discover it by boat or on foot), in a magnificent, unspoilt natural setting of rolling pastures, dotted with numerous signposted footpaths (including a rich network of "balades vertes" to discover on foot or by mountain bike), ideally situated on the route of the Romanesque church circuit & of a 63 km referenced "boucle vélo coup de cœur" (another 49 km itinerary accessible at 10 km), 600m from the EuroVélo6 cycle route linked to the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo" (along the Canal du Centre), 7 km from the Voie Verte "Véloire" along the Loire, Europe's last wild river (protected as a "Zone Natura 2000") linked to the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône et Loire à vélo), about 50 km from the vineyards of the Mâconnais and Côtes Chalonnaises & 60 km from the Côtes Roannaises (various wine routes to explore, including the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne" & the "Route des Grands Vins"). Location of choice, at the crossroads of the Allier & Loire rivers, in the heart of the magnificent Charolais-Brionnais region (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" / cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed), a land of gastronomy rich in sublime landscapes & an exceptional historical heritage, at the crossroads of the Mâconnais, the Clunisois-Tournugeois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), the Chalonnais and the Beaujolais (first Vineyard in the world to be recognized as a "UNESCO World Geopark"), not far from the Sologne & Mountain Bourbonnaise and the Pays Roannais. Ideal for easy access (RCEA access 8 km away): 5 km from the sumptuous 18th-century château de Digoine, literally the "pearl" of southern Burgundy, 11 km from Charolles, 21 km from Digoin (river Marina connected to 3 canals, including the "Canal du Centre"), 35 km from Marcigny (famous for its Monday morning Market, created in 1266), 36 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of Burgundy's most beautiful sites, with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 39 km from Semur-en-Brionnais, awarded the rare "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 42 km from the medieval spa town of Bourbon-Lancy, 47 km from Charlieu (exceptional Romanesque Benedictine abbey), 47 km from Le Creusot (Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 44 km away) & 56 km from the PAL amusement park. A literal haven of peace and rest for an ultra-relaxing "green getaway" for lovers and families alike!
