Stay in the heart of the vineyards, in the footsteps of Alphonse Lamartine, famous French poet and writer! An authentic 18th-century farm outbuilding steeped in history, fully renovated into a comfortable, charming holiday home, nestled in a "panoramic belvedere" on a vast 7,000m² natural property in the bucolic vineyards of the renowned "Val Lamartinien", 12km from Mâcon & 14 km from the world-famous abbey town of Cluny (one of Burgundy's most beautiful pearls, awarded the prestigious "European Heritage" label). A picturesque little village nestled at the foot of a protected "Natura 2000 Zone" (for its rich ecosystems), in the gentle, rolling Mâcon Countryside, combining winegrowing and unspoilt nature, between vineyard slopes, meadows and beautiful wild forests, in the immediate vicinity of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson, a "Grand Site de France" (7.5 km away). Privileged location on a signposted "Balade Verte" hiking trail (linked to a rich network of identical hiking trails throughout the massif), the Romanesque churches circuit & the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne" (extending various Beaujolais wine routes), 2 km from the GR76, 2 km from the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike), 4 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair" at 7 km, France's longest former railway tunnel open to a Voie Verte at 1.6 km), 9 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike itinerary (Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne connected to a vast network of signposted "VTT FFC" trails criss-crossing the massif) & 12 km from a mountain bike trail (connected to a vast network of signposted itineraries of the same type criss-crossing the northern Beaujolais massif). Ideally located at the southern tip of the Monts du Mâconnais & Massif Sud Bourgogne, on the borders of the Haut Beaujolais (the world's first Vineyard to be recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark), at the crossroads of the Clunisois-Tournugeois (recognized as a "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & the Bresse de l'Ain, at the crossroads of the Rhône & Ain départements. Ideal for easy access (RCEA, A6 & A40 nearby): 11 km from Mâcon Loché TGV station, 23 km from Touroparc Zoo animal park, 23 km from "Hameau Dubœuf" (Europe's 1st vineyard & wine theme park), 32 km from Vonnas (Georges Blanc's gastronomic village), 37 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 38 km from Tournus (world-renowned abbey site), 47 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 50 km from Charolles & 52 km from Bourg-en-Bresse. A cozy "pied à terre" immersed in a "postcard" setting, just a stone's throw from main roads & amenities (including supermarket 4.5 km away)! Magnificent panoramas & landscapes!

Description 2025, subject to modifications for 2026: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Sandrine & Yves open the doors of an authentic 18th-century farm outbuilding, steeped in history & carefully restored (once linked to the wine estate that occupied the premises), nestled on a hillside on a south-east-facing slope, a "panoramic belvedere" facing the iconic Roche de Vergisson as a backdrop. Magnificent surrounding countryside, in the heart of the gentle, rolling Mâconnais Vineyard Countryside, nestled on the edge of the bucolic vineyards of the renowned "Val Lamartinien" (Chardonnay grape variety), beneath the wooded ridges of the "Monsard" (a site protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its wealth of flora & fauna, home to the remains of a rare fortified camp dating from the Neolithic period), a stone's throw from the picturesque heart of the village, full of charm and perfectly preserved, where an elegant 13th-century listed Romanesque church stands enthroned (imbued with the memory of Alphonse de Lamartine, the famous French poet, writer & politician "native" to the area). Spacious, comfortable Holiday cottage. Spacious living room. Warm country style with contemporary accents. Cosy & cozy atmosphere combining tradition & modernity. Lots of charm. Pleasant garden (shaded under trees) bordering a small secure pond, opening onto a 7000m² natural property (sloping wooded meadow) with a fruit orchard (cherry, apple, plum, walnut... / Picking possible). Superb unobstructed view of the Vineyard and mountains.
Composition: Semi-detached house (main building housing owner's accommodation + 1 bed and breakfast + second family accommodation). Wifi access. Electric heating + wood stove. Ground floor: laundry room (access from outside), summer kitchen ("hybrid" room). 1st floor: living room-kitchen, separate toilet. 2nd floor: 3 bedrooms (2 beds 140x190cm / 2 beds 160x200cm / 4 beds 90x190cm including 2 Bunk beds), bathroom (shower/Wc).
