Marie opens the doors of her fully restored 16th-century mill, accessible via a long, shady driveway; tucked away in a peaceful wooded hamlet, 2 km from the town of Vendenesse-lès-Charolles. The Semence, a river full of fish, runs alongside the mill, and will satisfy the desires of amateur fishermen. For the curious, Marie will show you the mill mechanism, still in operation at the end of the 20th century. Take a stroll through the village of Vendenesse-lès-Charolles to visit the Romanesque church of Saint-Denis and admire the 3 lime kilns built in the 20th century by the Compagnie des Fours à chaux de Dombes. Don't forget to visit the 10th-century Château de Collanges (not open to visitors). Spacious, comfortable gîte, furnished in a contemporary country style.
